Configure your TENSION
Choose the configuration that fits your space, lighting needs and personal style.
1. Dimmable or non-dimmable
Non-dimmable
The standard version, operated with an on/off switch.
Dimmable
The dimmable version allows you to adjust the light intensity, making it suitable for both functional lighting and a softer ambient atmosphere.
3. Colour
Choose from seven available colours:
Black, White, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green or Blue.
The colour applies to all components of the lamp, allowing TENSION to function either as a subtle architectural element or a more expressive colour accent.
Custom assemblies and colour combinations are possible. Please contact Bob!
2. Mono or Duo
Mono
One adjustable light source. A focused and minimal configuration, ideal for a reading corner, workspace or single lighting point.
Duo
Two light sources connected to the same tension system. The two holders can be positioned independently, allowing you to illuminate a larger area or create a more balanced composition.
4. Ceiling height
Select the version that matches your ceiling height:
2–3 metres
For standard residential and commercial ceilings.
3–4 metres
For higher ceilings and more spacious interiors.
For ceilings above 4 meters, alternative configurations, additional light sources or larger installations, please get in touch.

A simple system, carefully made
Every part of TENSION has a clear function. The weighted base keeps the wire under tension, while the lamp holder slides along it and allows the light to be positioned freely.
The construction is intentionally reduced to its essentials. There are no unnecessary elements, hidden mechanisms or decorative additions. What you see is what makes the lamp work.
The visible components are 3D-printed and finished locally in small batches. This approach allows each lamp to be produced on demand, without unnecessary stock or mass production.
TENSION is not designed to disappear into a room. It creates a subtle point of tension — something that catches your eye, invites a second look and changes how light occupies a space.

Frequently Asked Questions

The lamp is held in place by tension between the ceiling canopy and the weighted base. The lamp holder slides along the tensioned wire and can be positioned at different heights. No drilling into the floor is required.

No. TENSION is secured between the ceiling and the floor through its tension system. The weighted base hangs slightly above the floor and does not need to be permanently attached. The ceiling canopy does need to be fixed to the ceiling

Mono has one light source and is ideal for focused lighting or smaller spaces.
Duo has two independently adjustable light sources on the same tension system, allowing you to illuminate a larger area or create a more layered lighting composition. Duo has two EU plugs

The non-dimmable version uses a standard on/off switch.
The dimmable version allows you to adjust the brightness of the light, making it suitable for both functional lighting and a softer atmosphere.

Yes. The lamp holder can be moved along the tensioned wire, allowing you to position the light at the height that works best for your space.

The ceiling canopy is designed to be mounted with one screw. The screw is not included, as the appropriate fixing depends on the type of ceiling and the material it is made from.
For temporary or non-permanent installations, some users may choose to mount the canopy using strong nano tape instead. This is not the recommended installation method, and its suitability depends entirely on the ceiling surface, tape quality and installation conditions.

TENSION is designed as a simple mechanical system. The ceiling canopy is secured with one suitable screw, and the lamp is then tensioned between the canopy and the weighted base.
No electrical installation in the ceiling is required. TENSION connects to a standard wall socket using its supplied power cable and plug.

No. TENSION does not require a hardwired electrical connection in the ceiling. The lamp is powered through a standard plug that connects to a wall socket.

Yes. The E27 light source can be replaced with another compatible E27 bulb.

The estimated production time is approximately 2–3 weeks. After that, the lamp will be shipped. Each lamp is made to order, and production begins after your order has been placed.

Yes. Selected replacement parts for TENSION are available separately, including components such as the ceiling canopy, tension wire, base weight and lamp holder. This makes it possible to maintain, repair or replace individual parts without replacing the entire lamp.
